First of 365 Days

Happy New Year everyone! It has been an amazing 2014 and now I am looking forward to a more fruitful and awesome 2015.
As that being said, I would like to start my blog post to a blessing that came in just recently. If you are an avid reader of my posts (I hope you do ;)) I previously blogged about eshakti, a brand that caters a more personalized service for its customers. I was lucky enough to promote their holiday collection yet again.

While I was having a dilemma on what to wear for the left and right parties this holiday, eshakti came in just right in time and save the day for me. Christmas and New Year are the two of the most celebrated holidays each year, if not the most celebrated one. It is really imperative to carefully select your most amazing outfit to become picture perfect for that obligatory family reunion pictures. I thought that the word that should best describe your outfit it should be something SPECIAL. Nothing more special than a personalized one, right?

When I received my package from eshakti I was in awe when I saw my dress. It was perfect or should I say beyond perfect. I actually made a little alteration with my dress. The neckline was originally a scoop neck and I changed it to boat neck for a more classic and elegant look. Oh boy, never have I gone wrong with my decision. It was made on how I literally imagined it could be. Everything was patterned based on my size and even my height. I also adore the fabric and pattern that they used because it added an extra glamour to my holiday ensemble.

I also love their service. It was easy, straight to the point and they made it shipped right on time.

Have a prosperous New Year! This is the first page of 365 lets make it a good one.

Throwback Thursday / Memory Monday

Few weeks ago my friends and I decided to take our taste buds to the side streets of NY. When talking about street foods in NY what could have been more infamous than the Halal Famous Guys along 6th ave? The Halal guys are famous for their chicken or lamb over rice which I must say really savory and not to mention the $6 price of it. Now, who could really beat that? If you plan to visit NY soon don't forget to drop by to their stall and discover what was the fuss about.

While we were devouring our whole plate of chicken over rice topped with sour cream, (trust me on this. It's really good!) we got the chance to have our own version of throwback Thursday. Honestly, I can't seem to conjure up if it was really Thursday or Monday but the thing is we did  travel back in time when we were still in Manila (city in Philippines). We had our own fair share of saga- how we cheated death or any that considered close to it. We also share our purse/cellphone-snatching stories when we were students back then. Oh it's ridiculous! It's funny how we can laugh about it now but feared for our lives when we were at that eventful nightmare. Don't get us wrong we love Manila. Actually we miss everything about it. That's why we reminisce a couple of our "only in Manila" shenanigans. We also had the time of our lives there. Most of my notable life stories happened there. Oh how I really miss home. Though I considered NY to be my home, Manila will always be my no. 1. I can't wait to explore not just the city but the entire Philippine archipelago when I get back. I can smell it anytime soon.

I Woke Up Like This

The moment that I laid my eyes upon this sweatshirt I fell in love right away! Besides the fact that statement shirts are a "thing" right now, my other half was the culprit behind this lovely sweater. Thanks to him I got so much compliments when I was strutting down the streets of NYC. Someone even asked me where did I buy it because it simply rocked my whole outfit. I felt some kind of electricity was creeping through my veins when I heard those compliments.  Yiiiieeee!

Since my sweet heart gave this to me, I figured why not make this blog entry wholeheartedly dedicated to him. Also, October is his birth month so might as well my first entry will be for my one and only. (OMG I didn't know that I could be mushy and cheesy like this! Blame it to the so called long distance relationship!) hah!
Though we have exactly 8,491 miles apart stretch, never have I seemingly felt this gigantic geographical distance between us. He never made me feel alone most especially when everything seems to collapse around me. That's how good he is. No. Scratch that. He is actually AWESOME. The unwavering love that he never fails to manifest every single day was way beyond my expectations. To be honest I have no idea how does this thing works, I just took the gamble and let myself emerge to the highs and lows of LDR. Surprisingly, everything is working out just fine and we are nearly close in celebrating our anniversary. Him and I swarmed through the seas and I must admit that we are far from being a pro. But I believe with our continuous efforts we can surmount whatever challenges it may bring us.
I am just so grateful that I have the perfect partner to go through this. He is the sweetest guy that I've known, better than your Snickers chocolate bar or any of that same kind. He always makes me feel like I am the greatest blessing that happened to him (and yes, he is to me). He stays up all night just to hear my continuous list of shenanigans. He is gifted with an enormous amount of sense of humor which makes me look like a totally crazy person whenever we have funny conversations. He taught me how to loosen up with regards to my feelings. Like that it's okay to let your partner know that he is wanted.
I can go on with my list on how lucky I am to have such a great partner in life but I guess I will reserve the others for myself. Because you might snatch him away from me realizing that this kind of humans are already extinct. haha! Okay, I guess that's waaaaaay too cheesy to say.

Thanks, my heart because of you I'm always waking up like this - with a smile on my face.
